Week 1 challenges for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 are now live, coinciding with the launch of the new update and season. Below, you’ll get a rundown on all of the new Epic and Legendary challenges, how to complete them, and the rewards you can expect. Completing these will help to boost your Battle Pass progress, letting you earn new cosmetics more quickly.
Week 1 Epic Quests
- Collect different weapon types (5) – 30,000 XP
- Search chests at Steamy Stacks or Craggy Cliffs (7) – 30,000 XP
- Deal Damage with Pulse Rifle (500) – 30,000 XP
- Elimination with the Rail Gun (1) – 30,000 XP
- Accept a quest from a payphone (1) – 30,000 XP
- Upgrade weapons at upgrade benches (3) – 30,000 XP
- Buy a shield potion from a Mending Machine (1) – 30,000 XP
Week 1 Legendary Quests
- Converse with Sunny, Abstrakt, Dreamflower, Riot or Bushranger (0/3) – 45,000 XP
- Collect Stone From The Aftermath (0/100) – 30,000 XP
- Collect 10 different IO tech weapons (0/3) – 30,000 XP
- Interact with Bunker Jonesy’s conspiracy board (0/1) – 30,000 XP
- Place rubber ducks in Retail Row, Pleasant Park and Believer Beach (0/3) – 30,000 XP
As you can see, this week’s Legendary Quests aren’t repetitive as they have been in recent seasons, and instead focus a bit more on story elements surrounding the alien invasion. Some of these challenges are quite simple even if it’s your first time playing on the new map. Collecting five different weapon types, for example, is pretty self-explanatory. Steamy Stacks and Craggy Cliffs are just where they were last season, so look to the northeast quadrant of the island for these named locations. The Pulse Rifle can’t be found in any special spot, so if you happen upon one, preferably in Team Rumble where you can respawn, hold onto it and do some damage. The same goes for the Rail Gun. Payphones are scattered all over the map and operate a bit like NPCs, who themselves still roam the island. Pick up any payphone and accept a quest to complete that challenge. Mending Machines are similarly ubiquitous.
The Aftermath is the new location in the exact center of the island (last season’s The Spire). Head there to collect stone for that challenge. Steam has just introduced a new feature for players called Game Recording. Though still in the beta-testing phase, Game Recording is exactly what it sounds like: a built-in feature that allows users to record and share gameplay footage.
Players can use Game Recording to record a quick clip of a particularly impressive 360° no-scope kill in a live-service game, record an entire RPG campaign playthrough, and everything in between. Clips can then be edited as needed (for instance, cutting out all the shots you missed prior to an impressive headshot) and then uploaded for the world to see.
Game Recording has two modes: Background Recording and On Demand Recording. In Background Recording mode, gameplay is continuously saved to the player’s preferred drive (never exceeding the player’s specified recording duration or storage limits). Ubisoft has announced the final update for its open-world RPG Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The 1.7.0 update will go live on February 21 at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET and is set to fix quality-of-life issues.
The patch size will vary based on the player’s platform of choice. For those playing on the Xbox Series X|S, the update will be 15.1GB and 9.9GB on the Xbox One. Meanwhile, for PlayStation 5 players, the update will be 0.5GB; for PlayStation 4 players, it’ll be 1.6GB. Lastly, for PC players, it’ll be 6.3GB.

admin · February 5, 2025 · 343 Industries has shed some new light on one of the features coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection in a future update. The “Exchange,” as it’s called, is an in-game store of sorts where players can spend their season points–but not real money–to acquire certain items.
Technical designer Dana Jerpbak said in a blog post the Exchange was designed with two primary goals, the first of which was to create a system where players could have more freedom and choice for content to unlock. The second was to create a place where players could spend season points to pick up items from a previous season that had ended already.
“As an additional goal, we also wanted to minimize the fear of missing out, or ‘FOMO’ associated with this experience,” Jerpbak said. “The Exchange will offer customization items from two overarching categories: previous limited-time season content and new themed content.”
