Steam Introduces New Game Recording Feature, And It Works With Steam Deck
Steam has just introduced a new feature for players called Game Recording. Though still in the beta-testing phase, Game Recording is exactly what it sounds like: a built-in feature that allows users to record and share gameplay footage.
Players can use Game Recording to record a quick clip of a particularly impressive 360° no-scope kill in a live-service game, record an entire RPG campaign playthrough, and everything in between. Clips can then be edited as needed (for instance, cutting out all the shots you missed prior to an impressive headshot) and then uploaded for the world to see.
Game Recording has two modes: Background Recording and On Demand Recording. In Background Recording mode, gameplay is continuously saved to the player’s preferred drive (never exceeding the player’s specified recording duration or storage limits). On Demand Recording mode can be used at-will, stopping and starting via manual input from the player. Steam’s new…

Assassin's Creed Valhalla Final Update Fixes Inventory Issues And Eivor's Hair
Ubisoft has announced the final update for its open-world RPG Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The 1.7.0 update will go live on February 21 at 4 AM PT / 7 AM ET and is set to fix quality-of-life issues.
The patch size will vary based on the player’s platform of choice. For those playing on the Xbox Series X|S, the update will be 15.1GB and 9.9GB on the Xbox One. Meanwhile, for PlayStation 5 players, the update will be 0.5GB; for PlayStation 4 players, it’ll be 1.6GB. Lastly, for PC players, it’ll be 6.3GB.
The Captain kill at Katzenelnbogen during River Raids, where the kill isn’t confirmed, has been addressed. Most instances where light-fingered skills that prevent key items from being picked up have been fixed, and the issue where Eivor’s hair clips through the hood after completing an Animus Anomaly has also been addressed.
Other issues, such as items that were previously missing from the player’s inventory and the total number of Opals i…
God Of War Ragnarok- Mystical Heirloom And Troll Locations
With so many relics to choose from in God of War Ragnarok, you may accidentally overlook one particularly unique one: the Mystical Heirloom. This strange heirloom merely states that it “awakens something dormant, deep down inside of the bearer.” If you’re confused, don’t worry–we’ll tell you where to find the Mystical Heirloom, where and how to use it, and why you should.
Consider this guide to contain spoilers for late- and post-game content.
Where to find the Mystical Heirloom and what it’s used for
The Mystical Heirloom can be found just southwest of Tyr’s temple in Midgard. You’ll need to use your Draupnir Spear on a wall of ice here to open up an area containing the relic.
The Mystical Heirloom is used to wake up stone creatures, four of which are trolls located throughout the nine realms who will drop the necessary materials to craft the Steinbjorn armor set, an exceptionally powerful set for those who prioritize def…
Halo- MCC's New In-Game Store Doesn't Have Any Microtransactions
343 Industries has shed some new light on one of the features coming to Halo: The Master Chief Collection in a future update. The “Exchange,” as it’s called, is an in-game store of sorts where players can spend their season points–but not real money–to acquire certain items.
Technical designer Dana Jerpbak said in a blog post the Exchange was designed with two primary goals, the first of which was to create a system where players could have more freedom and choice for content to unlock. The second was to create a place where players could spend season points to pick up items from a previous season that had ended already.
“As an additional goal, we also wanted to minimize the fear of missing out, or ‘FOMO’ associated with this experience,” Jerpbak said. “The Exchange will offer customization items from two overarching categories: previous limited-time season content and new themed content.”
With each new season, like the upcoming Season 6, these categories will gr…
Jeff Goldblum To Play Elven Sorcerer In D&D Podcast
Actor Jeff Goldblum will be guest starring in an upcoming episode of the Dungeons & Dragons podcast Dark Dice. Goldblum will be role-playing as the elven sorcerer Balmur in the improvised audio drama, and is set to be one of five player-characters. The season featuring Goldblum, which is titled The Long March, is set to launch on May 12.
As of this writing, it’s unclear whether Goldblum will be making a one-off appearance, or be sticking around for a longer campaign. Dark Dice bills itself as a “horror actual-play D&D podcast that uses immersive soundscapes to create an added layer of immersion… [as adventurers] journey into the ruinous domain of the nameless god.”

Invincible's Steven Yeun On Working With Robert Kirkman Again After The Walking Dead
Steven Yeun became a household name as Glenn on AMC’s The Walking Dead, which was based on a comic book by Robert Kirkman. Now, Yeun is starring as Mark Grayson in Amazon Prime’s Invincible, another series based on a comic by Kirkman.
During IGN Fan Fest, Yeun spoke about how he got the role on the upcoming animated show, which arrives on March 26. “Robert just hit me up kind of randomly and said, ‘I’m doing Invincible. Would you come in and kind of like help me realize part of this script?'” said Yeun. “He wanted me to come in and just play around in a booth, and we did this really cool scene that I really enjoyed about two security guards that—I think he’s going to be in it—but it’s a beautiful scene, and it really made me understand like what he was trying to make.
“Not too long after, he asked me if I would play Mark [Grayson] and for me, you know, I love Robert and also like having had that experience reading the some of the script that he wrote, and where the s…
Knockout City Review – Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, And Dodge
Knockout City’s colorful, cartoonish aesthetic plays host to a relatively straightforward game of dodgeball, putting two teams against each other in a war waged with red rubber balls. But once you start factoring in deployable gliders, balls that can trap opponents in cages, and throwing techniques that can bend your shots around corners, Knockout City’s identity starts to bubble to the surface. In between the satisfying thunks of direct hits and the grace of each character’s movements, Knockout City features a satisfying level of depth that balances its pickup-and-play nature with a compelling competitive element that’s difficult to walk away from.
Each of Knockout City’s rotating modes rests on the fundamentals of finding a ball and trying to hit opposing players twice with it for a knockout, racking up your team’s score in the process. Knockout City makes this both simple and satisfying by automatically targeting enemies for you, but giving you control o…
Keep Your Xbox Controller Charged With This Fancy Otterbox Hot Swap Battery Solution
Xbox has required AA batteries for its controllers for a long time now, which can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on who you ask. What isn’t debatable is the annoyance of having to change a set mid-game, which forces you to turn off the controller and resync it. That might be an issue if you’re involved in an intense online session that you can’t pause, which is the exact market Otterbox is aiming for with its Power Swap Controller Battery for Xbox.
